A window will pop up asking you to confirm your ship to address. Make any changes necessary and proceed. The specific auction terms and conditions will appear as a pop up. Please read and confirm agreement. You will receive an email confirming that you have registered for a particular auction and that your bidder number will be emailed to you shortly. Your request will be reviewed and your bidder number assigned via email (typically within 1 day of your registration).

4    BID NOW AND BUY YOUR EQUIPMENT

LIVE & WEBCAST
A live and online auction is real-time bidding being webcast interactively with a LIVE auctioneer. You can join the bidding in person (at auction site) or via online. Online bidders can participate in real-time from their computer with the ability to view equipment information and photos and make bidding decisions based upon the dynamics of the live auction. In addition, bidders can cast online absentee bids prior to the auction (see Absentee Bidding below). Webcasts transform a live auction into a worldwide event by introducing interactive bidding via the Internet, through BioSurplus' secure and proprietary web-based utility. In order to register for an auction, you must first sign up for an account (See Step 1 above).

a.    Live Online Bidding on the Auction Day
To bid on auction day, simply log in to your account at www.biosurplusbid.com.
View the auction you're interested in. When you see status listed as "In Progress," that signifies an auction is currently occurring. To go to your real-time auction, click on the Auction Catalog that is currently "In Progress." Click on the tab called "Live Sale." Congratulations! You've arrived. Below is the screen you will see. This is where you will make all your bids.

b.    Live In-Person Bidding on Auction Day
Alternatively, you can join us in person versus online and follow the auction and bidding LIVE throughout the day. For those joining us in person, prizes may be raffled throughout the day. Food and beverages may also be provided.

c.    Online Absentee Bidding before Auction Start
Absentee bids are a client's instruction directing the auction software to bid on one or more lots up to the maximum amount the client has specified for each lot. You can place an online bid as an Absentee Bidder prior to auction day. Be sure to get your absentee bid in as soon as possible. Bidding priority for identical bids will always go to the first bidder. An email will be sent to you for each absentee bid you place. You have the ability to set a spending limit for the entire auction. Checkmark the "Stop Absentee Bidding at: $" box, fill in your spending limit, then submit your changes. Place your maximum bid for all of your items without fear of spending past your budget. When you've won your items, or you have reached your maximum bid limit, the bidding is complete and any remaining absentee bids disappear.

Is it possible to win a lot for less than the amount I bid? - Absolutely! This happens routinely as the system bids for you as if you were here. The system works at getting you the lot at the lowest price possible. For example: Say your max absentee bid for Lot 1 is $900. Lot 1 has a starting bid at $500, and the bid increment is $50. Let's say the last online or floor bid is $700 and stops, if there are no other absentee bids, floor bids, or online bids for this lot you would win the lot at $750.

OR Bids
An "OR" bid is a variation on a standard absentee bid. "OR" bids are a client's instruction directing the auction software to bid on multiple lots up to a specified level, but to stop bidding once one of the items is won. To add an "OR" bid, find your items of interest and add the same number to each item you would like to include in your "OR" bid. A maximum absentee bid must be added to each item you include in your "OR" bid. Note that if you have already bid on a particular lot, you will be unable to add that lot to an "OR" bid. Remove that lot from the form and choose it from the "OR" bid list.

Watchlist
You can prepare for auction day by adding items to your Watchlist. Select multiple items by checking the box at the far right column of the auction catalog (see above). This groups together the items you are interested in buying. Once you've selected your items, click the "Add to Watchlist" button. View your Watchlist by clicking the "View My Watchlist" link located above the auction catalog table or by clicking "Watchlist" located within "My Items" tab.

In Person Equipment Inspections
Items are available for preview and inspections by appointment only unless otherwise specified. Please check auction details for specific dates and locations. To make an appointment, please call us at 858-550-0800 x222 or email us at auctioninfo@biosurplusbid.com.

Warranty
Because all we do is lab equipment, our goal is to use our expertise to ensure that buyers are happy with their purchases. We offer a limited five-business day warranty on many items to make sure they are working as expected. Please refer to the terms and conditions for a given auction for further details.

TIMED ONLINE
A timed online auction allows buyers to place bids in an eBay style fashion. The most important thing to understand about timed online auctions is that they are time-limited. They run for a predetermined amount of time from their start date (either one, three, seven, or ten days, to the minute) and the winner of the auction is whoever happens to be the high bidder at the moment the auction ends. A timed online auction may end earlier than its given end time (if the seller decides to end the auction immediately and sell to the current high bidder), but can never run longer than its pre-established duration, even if active bidding is occurring right up until the end. For this reason, it is important to bid as early as possible on an item you are determined to win - the auction may end at any time, and if you wait until the last moment, you may accidentally miss the auction's end and with it, the opportunity to bid.

5    PAYMENT AND SHIPPING
